GREEN GAP project partners meet in Santiago de Compostela

The partners of the POCTEP GREEN GAP project invite you to take part in the project’s launch event.

The GREEN GAP project, funded by Interreg POCTEP and in which different supra-municipal, local and university entities from Galicia and northern Portugal are taking part, aims to promote green infrastructure at local level and restore biodiversity and renaturalisation, as well as promoting the design of a landscape that is resilient to the effects of climate change.

The project launch day will take place on 18 December at the Gallega School of Public Administration in Santiago de Compostela (Rúa Madrid, 2, 15707 Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña), from 10:00 to 13:00 (local time).

The event will be hosted by María Ángeles Vázquez Mejuto, second vice-president and regional minister for the Environment, Territory and Housing, and Enrique Luis de Salvador Sánchez, director of the Institute for Territorial Studies, after which there will be a first panel or round table discussion on “The role of local government in promoting green infrastructure as a tool for recovering biodiversity and adapting to climate change” with the participation of experts from Galicia and northern Portugal. Afterwards, representatives of the various project partners will take part in a second panel “An initiative to promote green infrastructure at local level in Galicia and Northern Portugal: Planning – Implementation – Capacity Building”. At the end of the event, there will be an aperitif with Galician products.
