This Tuesday, the executive director of the Landscape Laboratory, Carlos Ribeiro, represented Guimarães at EnergyWeek 2025, taking place in Vassa, Finland, where he took part in the seminar: ‘Circular Economy – A Key to Climate Action’.
She shared the stage with the host city, which next year will be the European Green Leaf and Chile’s Ambassador to that country.
Guimarães, European Green Capital 2026, emphasised the role of innovation, public policies and community participation in the transition to a more sustainable future, pointing out that “it is essential to create a link between inhabitants and nature. We want to increase climate literacy, citizen participation and strengthen their sense of belonging.”
