Laboratório da Paisagem Opens Its Doors to the Community

The Laboratório da Paisagem in Guimarães welcomed dozens of visitors of all ages as part of the “Open Doors at the Lab” initiative.29

Throughout the morning, the space became a vibrant meeting point for science, environmental education, and active citizenship.

This initiative aimed to bring the work of the Laboratório da Paisagem closer to the community, reinforcing the role of science and environmental education as key drivers for building a greener, more resilient, and fairer territory.

Highlights included arboriculture demonstrations and river monitoring activities. Participants also had the chance to explore Guimarães’ green spaces and riverbanks, as well as discover the biodiversity guides developed for the local region.
