The Limp.AR project, promoted by the Laboratório da Paisagem and funded by the Portuguese Environmental Fund (Fundo Ambiental), has been recognized by the European Commission as a good practice under the Green City Accord, an initiative that brings together cities committed to a greener and healthier urban future.
Developed in Guimarães, Limp.AR focuses on air quality monitoring using low-cost sensors, while actively promoting citizen science and engaging the educational and scientific communities. The project aims to increase local awareness of air pollution and encourage more sustainable behaviors.
This European recognition highlights the relevance of the work being carried out in Guimarães in the field of environmental innovation, positioning the municipality as a model for building resilient cities aligned with the goals of the European Green Deal.
