The Caldas das Taipas Metrominute presented
As part of European Mobility Week, the Caldas das Taipas Metrominuto was launched this Friday, 20 September, in an initiative by the Landscape Laboratory and the Municipality of Guimarães.
Like the Guimarães Metrominuto, launched in 2021, this map was co-created by the students of Caldas das Taipas Secondary School, with technical support from the Landscape Laboratory, and aims to encourage pedestrian mobility in urban environments and contribute to reducing commuter movements using polluting vehicles.
The tool was inaugurated with a formal session in the auditorium of the local secondary school, with representatives from the mobility and education division of the Municipality of Guimarães and a representative from the Caldelas – Caldas das Taipas Parish Council.
At the end, the students involved in the development of this tool had the opportunity to test it on a walking route to the leisure park.
The Caldas das Taipas Metrominuto will now be available at the parish council and at strategic points in the town of Taipas. Adopt it!
