Ave for All
Educating, researching and communicating were the assumptions of the Ave Para Todos project. Born within a governance model that seeks to integrate the public sector, the private sector, academia and citizens, O Ave Para Todos sought to be a response to a greater challenge of promoting scientific knowledge and environmental education in favour of improving the quality of the river Ave and its banks.

Supported by three lines of action – Education and Environmental Awareness, Research and Development and Communication – researchers and environmental education technicians tried to monitor the quality of the river Ave and empower the population to become (even) more vigilant of this common asset and essential for all.
Over the next few pages, you will find the entire methodological process of the Ave for All project, but you will also learn more about an unparalleled natural heritage.
This will be the first chapter of a story that, we are sure, will culminate in the full recovery of the river Ave, in Guimarães and all the municipalities that are crossed by it.
