On Wednesday, October 16, Guimarães received a visit from officials of the European Investment Bank (EIB Institute) for working meetings with the municipality’s financial teams, the climate transition team, the municipal management, and the Landscape Laboratory.
The meeting aimed to evaluate and define the structural projects included in the Investment Plan and the Guimarães Climate Contract, studying funding opportunities and/or applications for them.
The discussion focused on three priority projects: the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit); the creation of an energy community in Bairro C, powered only by green energy from solar panels; and the creation of a 20-kilometer-long urban green belt.
