On June 27, the Laboratório da Paisagem hosted the workshop “Ecological Restoration and Renaturalization of Watercourses in Urban Areas: Living Lab of the Selho River”, as part of the Green Gap Academy.
This workshop offered both theoretical and practical reflections on the importance of restoring watercourses in urban environments, with a particular focus on the application of Natural Engineering techniques. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about the water quality monitoring methodology used in the “living laboratory of the Selho River,” a pilot project that reinforces the Laboratory’s commitment to sustainability and the preservation of urban ecosystems.
Green Gap is a project funded by the INTERREG Portugal–Spain programme, aiming to promote knowledge and the development of nature-based solutions and the enhancement of urban green infrastructure.
