Students from the 10th edition of Eco-Parliament together at UNU-EGOV

The 32 students taking part in the 10th edition of Eco Parlamento, organised by Laboratório da Paisagem and the Municipality of Guimarães, will take part in an event this Saturday at the United Nations University – Operational Unit in Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV), in the Couros area of Guimarães.

During the session, which will take place between 9.30am and 12.30pm, UNU-EGOV will organise a training session in the area of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), through a series of fun and educational activities that facilitate understanding of the SDGs and the path to achieving them, in what will be the first contact between the participating students, from the 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic education, from various schools.

At the end of the session, the 32 students expected to attend will receive a certificate of participation and a souvenir snapshot next to the United Nations flag.

Eco Parlamento is the most emblematic anchor activity of the PEGADAS programme and seeks to stimulate debate among children and young people about sustainable development, identifying environmental challenges in the area they live in and proposing sustainable solutions through debate sessions that take place throughout the year. In the end, the best project is voted on.
