URBACT Local Groups will develop community-based approaches to valuing, measuring and accounting for urban biodiversity and related ecosystem services.

The BiodiverCity Network partners are committed to supporting and empowering communities in planning nature-based solutions, promoting pro-environmental civic behaviour and contributing to the development of urban greening plans, while also contributing to the implementation of the European Union’s Biodiversity Strategy.

In addition to the Landscape Lab, nine other cities from eight different countries are part of the network, including Dunaújváros (HU), Vratsa (BG), Town Veszprém (HU) Poljcane (SL), Cieza (ES), Siena (IT), Limerick City & County Council (IR) Hertogenbosch (NL) and Sarajevo (BA).

The consortium’s total budget is €849,522.00 and the project is scheduled for completion in December 2025.
